BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS Orchid Lodge Monteverde

RESERVATIONS & CONFIRMATION

All reservations are subject to availability and must be guaranteed with a valid credit card. A confirmation email will be sent upon successful booking. Please review all details carefully and contact us immediately if any information is incorrect.

PAYMENT TERMS

• Deposit: 50% of total stay cost required at time of booking

• Final Payment: Remaining balance due upon check-in

• Accepted Payment: Major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), cash (USD or Costa Rican Colones)

• Currency: All rates quoted in US Dollars unless otherwise specified

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT

• Check-in: 3:00 PM

• Check-out: 11:00 AM

• Early Check-in/Late Check-out: Subject to availability and may incur additional charges

• Valid ID Required: Government-issued photo identification required at check-in

CANCELLATION POLICY

Standard Rate (Flexible):

• Free cancellation up to 48 hours before arrival

• Cancellations within 48 hours: 50% charge of total booking

• No-shows: 100% charge of total booking

Advance Purchase Rate (Non-Refundable):

• No cancellations or modifications permitted

• 100% payment required at booking

• No refunds for early departure or no-shows

MODIFICATION POLICY

• Room type and date changes subject to availability

• Rate differences may apply for modifications

• Changes must be requested at least 48 hours before arrival

• Non-refundable rates cannot be modified

GUEST POLICIES

• Maximum Occupancy: Strictly enforced per room type

• Age Policy: Children under 12 stay free when sharing existing bedding

• Extra Guests: Additional charges apply for guests exceeding standard occupancy

• Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM

HOTEL POLICIES

• Smoking: Strictly prohibited in all rooms and indoor areas

• Pets: Not permitted (service animals welcome with advance notice)

• Damage: Guests responsible for any damage to hotel property

• Lost Keys: $25 replacement fee

RATES & TAXES

• All rates are per room, per night

• Costa Rican taxes (13% VAT) apply to all bookings

• Tourist tax may apply for international visitors

• Rates subject to change without notice

FORCE MAJEURE

Orchid Lodge Monteverde shall not be liable for failure to provide services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, or public health emergencies.

PRIVACY & DATA

Guest information is collected and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Personal data will not be shared with third parties except as required by law.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Any disputes arising from these terms shall be governed by Costa Rican law and resolved in the courts of Puntarenas Province.
